I'm sorry I bought this book. Should have saved my money for something I wish to keep and share with friends. The story started well but as soon as the three hippies, better known as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, were introduced, it started to go downhill. This is definitely "if it feels good, do it" theology. There is no right or wrong. If something feels wrong to you, then it might not be exactly right for you now, but it is probably okay for someone else in different circumstamces. Things change after all. No absolutes. No guilt. No consequences. Can you say moral relativism, children? There is something here for everyone. Feminists will love that God is not portrayed as a man, although "She" is referred to as Papa. A little blurring of the line between the sexes? All is politically correct, except for a nasty stereotype of Jesus as a Jew because he has a hooked nose. I guess it is still okay with the author to offend some people. The Holy Spirit is a ditzy Asian woman. You get the picture.I'm not surprised that the book is popular with a vast number of people. It takes swipes at traditional religion at every opportunity. It requires little thinking and is a "feel good" read. God is just here to hang out and be our buddy and everything is a little fuzzy. No responsibilities, no accountablity, no problem.
